• Go Min Si Opens Up About the Entertainment Industry's Favoritism and Connections

Actress Go Min Si shared her honest thoughts about the entertainment industry.

On August 11, the YouTube channel 'BDNS' posted a video titled "Forever waiting for the spaghetti with Go Min-Si" featuring the actress as a guest.

In the video, Go Min Si talked about what she sees as the worst traits in adults in the industry. She explained, “It’s people who are biased and judge others unfairly. When I first came to Seoul to start acting, I went to many auditions, but I wasn’t a Theater and Film major. I often heard, ‘You’re not from the Theater and Film department? So why do you want to act?’”

She went on, “Most of the actors who joined around the same time as me had Theater and Film backgrounds. I couldn’t understand why so much emphasis was placed on connections and favoritism, like ‘Which university did you attend?’ Why can’t someone act if they didn’t graduate from Theater and Film? I thought a lot about changing that.”

Moon Sang Hoon, who was also part of the discussion, agreed, saying, “You should be able to act if you want to, no matter your background.”

Go Min Si nodded, adding, “Exactly. I thought a lot about how I never wanted to become like that.”
