BTS‘s Jimin has proven his popularity once again by winning 1st place on ‘M Countdown.’
On August 8, Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ announced the nominees for the second week of August. The battle for the top spot was between Stray Kids with “Chk Chk Boom” and BTS‘s Jimin with “Who.” In the end, Jimin took home the trophy.
Jimin dropped his second solo album, ‘MUSE,’ on July 23. Since then, the album has been making waves on various charts, including Billboard.
The title track “Who” grabbed 1st place on Billboard’s ‘Global 200’ and ‘Global Excl. U.S.’ charts for two weeks in a row. It also held the 12th spot on the ‘Hot 100’ chart for two straight weeks. After debuting at 14th place on August 3, “Who” jumped two spots, marking a new personal best for Jimin.
Jimin continues to dominate on Spotify, too. “Who” has stayed at the top of Spotify’s ‘Daily Top Song Global’ chart for 14 days straight, from July 23 to August 5.
In addition to Jimin‘s victory, ‘M Countdown’ featured performances by DIGNITY, LIGHTSUM, BamBam, BLACKSWAN, Stray Kids, ENHYPEN, and more.
