BTS’s Jimin is making waves in Latin America with his solo album!
Jimin’s second solo album, 'MUSE,' dropped its title track 'WHO' on July 30, and it’s been a huge hit. The song debuted at 31st on Brazil's Billboard Hot 100 chart, setting a record for the highest debut by an Asian artist.
'WHO' followed his pre-release track 'SMERALDO GARDEN MATCHING BAND,' which also made the charts.
On Brazil’s Spotify, 'WHO' saw 725,064 streams on the 'Daily Top Songs' chart on July 24, climbing to 9th place. It set a record for the most daily streams by a K-pop soloist within 13 days of release, surpassing 8.7 million streams by August 2.
On the 'Weekly Top Songs' chart, it debuted at 18th with 4,193,935 streams, later reaching 7th place with a total of 5,258,803 streams.
In Apple Music Brazil, 'WHO' hit the top of the 'Brazil Top 100' chart, making it the first K-pop solo song to achieve this. It also topped the 'K-POP Hits,' 'POP Hits,' 'General Hits,' 'Top 100 Brazil,' 'Sao Paulo Top 25,' and 'Rio de Janeiro Top 25' charts for three consecutive days.
The song’s success spread to Chile, where 'WHO' surpassed 300,000 streams on July 27, reaching 4th place on the 'Daily Top Songs' chart. It became the first Asian artist’s song to surpass 300,000 streams.
On the 'Weekly Top Songs' chart, it debuted at 12th with 1,341,364 streams and later climbed to 4th place with 1,510,016 streams.
In Chile’s Apple Music Top 100, 'WHO' topped the chart for three days straight starting on July 25, making it the longest-running number one by a K-pop artist. It achieved a triple crown by topping 'K-POP Hits,' 'POP Hits,' 'General Hits,' 'Top 100 Chile,' 'Music Video,' and 'Santiago Top 25' charts.
Globally, Jimin's 'WHO' climbed to 12th place on Billboard’s main single chart on August 10, a two-step rise from the previous week. It also topped both 'Global 200' and 'Global Excluding US' charts for two weeks straight as the first K-pop solo song to do so.
On Spotify's 'Global Daily Top Songs' chart, it held the top spot for 14 consecutive days from July 23 to August 5.
