• Jessica's Fans Celebrate 17th Anniversary with Banners at SM, 10 Years After Leaving Girls' Generation

Former Girls' Generation member Jessica's fans have surprised K-pop fans with an unexpected move.

On July 20, Jessica's Chinese fans announced a special event for her 17th debut anniversary.

They set up about 60 banners in front of the SM Entertainment building in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on August 3.

The banners had messages and photos, saying, "Congratulations on your 17th debut anniversary, Sica."

On August 4 at 8:05 PM, a drone show and fireworks display also took place in Yeouido, Seoul, to celebrate Jessica's 17th debut anniversary. It was reported that Jessica attended the event with her family to watch the celebration.

K-pop fans are puzzled by this event. Jessica debuted in 2007 as a member of Girls' Generation under SM Entertainment but left the group in 2014. Since it's been 10 years since she left, many find it strange to hold an event for her at SM's building.

After leaving Girls' Generation, Jessica joined Coridel Entertainment. She has focused on her solo singing and acting career and launched her own fashion brand.

In 2022, she gained attention by finishing as the runner-up in season 3 of the Chinese show "Sisters Who Make Waves."

  • Former BTOB Member Jung Ilhoon Shares Thoughts on Music Comeback After 5 Years

Former BTOB member Jung Ilhoon has shared his thoughts on returning to the music scene after a five-year hiatus.

On November 24, Jung Ilhoon announced his comeback through Instagram, revealing his new single, Lullaby.

He expressed his gratitude, writing, “It’s been a while, but I’m happy to greet you with the single Lullaby. Thank you to the fans who supported me during this long wait, and I’m also grateful to everyone who helped me along the way.”

He also reflected on the emotional significance of his return, saying, “This feels like a moment we both dreamed of—fans and I alike—which makes it especially meaningful. I hope you’ll continue to support me as I move forward.”

Jung Ilhoon first debuted with BTOB in 2012 and gained recognition for his talent as a rapper and songwriter. However, in 2020, he left the group after admitting to charges of habitual marijuana use.

Initially sentenced to two years in prison, his sentence was later reduced to a suspended sentence of three years during an appeal, allowing for his release.

Following the incident, he publicly apologized, saying, “I deeply regret the harm I caused to society and the disappointment I brought to those who trusted me. I promise to live righteously and not bring pain to anyone again.”

Fans are now eagerly awaiting Ilhoon’s new single, Lullaby, marking his first step back into the music world.
