• Dex Opens Up About Burnout and Personal Reflections: "I Never Expected to Debut, But My Need for Attention Was Fulfilled"

Former special forces member and broadcaster Dex has candidly shared his experience with burnout and personal growth.

On August 3, the YouTube channel '핑계고' (Excuses) dropped a video titled "Physical Fitness is an Excuse," featuring Dex's honest reflections.

Dex, who previously opened up about his struggles with burnout, explained, "Looking back, the concerns and random thoughts I had are probably why I fell into a state of self-destruction. Last year, burnout hit me out of nowhere, and people were shocked, asking, 'How could you be burned out already?' It was overwhelming, like everything hit me at once. But since then, I’m managing better this year and finding more enjoyment in my work."

He continued, "Initially, adjusting to the glamorous side of this job was challenging. It seems my need for attention has been fulfilled through this work. I used to dislike social media and photo sessions while in the military. But once I started receiving attention, my mood improved significantly. It was something I wasn’t getting anywhere else."

In the discussion, Yoo Jae Suk shared his perspective, saying, "I’ve never experienced burnout. I don’t push myself to the limit. I avoid doing things just for the sake of it and try to maintain my own pace."

Dex responded, "It’s surprising to hear that you had a period of obscurity. I first saw you on 'Infinite Challenge' when I was in about 3rd or 4th grade. To me, you were already a star." Kwon Yu Ri mentioned her fondness for 'Kong-Kong-Dda,' and Kim Dong-hyun reminisced about MBC’s 'Feeling.'

Yoo Jae Suk reflected on the past, noting, "Back then, viewership ratings were not as high as now. At its peak, it was 20%, with an average of 15%. A 15% rating was considered excellent back then. Anything below single digits would have led to cancellation."

The conversation also touched on weight management. Dex admitted, "I try to manage my weight my way, but I end up binge-eating, especially at night. I don’t eat much while working, which leads to indigestion. When I’m not working, I order a lot of deliveries and gain weight quickly. But I lose it again once I’m busy."

Yoo Jae Suk added, "I don’t gain weight easily. I’m selective and have a small appetite. Since I don’t eat a lot, my stomach has shrunk a bit."

  • Lee Min Ho Shares the Hilarious Story Behind His Famous Baeksang Fall—The One Thing He’ll Never Forget!

Actor Lee Min Ho recently shared an unforgettable and embarrassing moment from his early career, revealing how he became a “falling star” at his first Baeksang Arts Awards.

On the December 25th episode of You Quiz on the Block (Episode 274), Lee Min Ho made a guest appearance and reflected on his rise to fame.

The actor, known for his iconic role as Goo Jun Pyo in Boys Over Flowers, won the Best New Actor award at the Baeksang Arts Awards, but it wasn’t just his victory that grabbed attention.

Lee Min Ho recalled, "I was attending the Baeksang for the first time, and I was so excited. Since I wasn’t going as Goo Jun Pyo, but as Lee Min Ho, I styled my hair in a perm and was ready to go." However, things took an unexpected turn when he tripped and fell on the red carpet.

He sighed, recalling, "That day, I fell. I fell and created so many memes. Even now, I look back and think, 'How did I walk that quickly on the red carpet?'"

Laughing at his own clumsiness, he admitted, "I was moving at the speed of light, no composure, no focus. Honestly, more than the joy of winning the award, that day was chaotic and so embarrassing for me."

Though his win was a highlight, Lee Min Ho humorously shared that the incident of tripping overshadowed the excitement of his achievement.

It’s safe to say that while the fall became a funny meme, it also became a lesson in humility for the actor, and a moment that fans still remember to this day.
