    Jo Jung Suk's latest film 'Pilot' hits theaters today (31st) and has already soared to the top of advance ticket sales, hinting at a box office smash.

    According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie tickets, as of 10 a.m. on the 31st, 'Pilot' has clinched the No. 1 spot in overall advance ticket sales with an impressive 40.8%. The film has sold 218,551 advance tickets.

    'Pilot' has outpaced major Hollywood blockbusters like 'Deadpool and Wolverine' (12.4%) and 'Despicable Me 4' (8.6%), suggesting a significant shift in the box office rankings. Remarkably, 'Pilot' has maintained the top spot in advance ticket sales for four consecutive days, showcasing the tremendous interest even before its release and promising a strong opening performance.

    'Pilot' is a comedy featuring Han Jeong-woo (played by Jo Jung Suk), a star pilot who finds himself jobless overnight and then successfully reinvents himself. This film marks Jo Jung Suk's return to the big screen after five years since 'Exit,' and his collaboration with director Kim Han-gyeol of 'Crazy Romance' has brought fresh laughter.

    'Pilot' also highlights Jo Jung Suk's stellar acting, generating enthusiastic word-of-mouth following preview screenings.
