• LE SSERAFIM's Hong Eunchae Faces Hyperventilation During Rehearsal: "I Had to Do It No Matter What"

Hong Eunchae from LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chae Won, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) had a tough time during comeback rehearsals, leaving fans worried. On the 29th, the YouTube channel 'HYBE LABELS' released the first episode of LE SSERAFIM's documentary 'LE SSERAFIM - Make It Look Easy.'

The documentary starts with the members watching their rehearsal video with their performance director after their end-of-year stage in 2022. Leader Kim Chae Won was nervous, saying, "I hope we do well, please." The director encouraged them to have fun on stage.

In interviews, all the members shared their hopes to perform well. Sakura said, "I want to hear that we're doing well." Huh Yunjin admitted, "I want to do well in everything. My ambition is too high." Kazuha showed her passion, saying, "I feel a responsibility to do well," while Hong Eunchae confessed her worries, "I want to do better, but I often wonder, 'Is this the limit?'"

The documentary also showed Hong Eun-chae becoming the youngest MC for KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank.' After her interview, she said, "They said I did well. I wasn't nervous, and the response was good." But she also felt anxious, saying, "If I had to choose between getting selected or not, I really don't know. I think I did well. I said I want to be busy every Friday. I can't fail after saying, 'See you on Friday.'"

In the documentary, Hong Eunchae is seen experiencing hyperventilation during rehearsal on May 1st, before the media showcase for LE SSERAFIM's first full-length album 'UNFORGIVEN.' The production team gave her an oxygen mask and told her to breathe calmly while the members checked on her.

The performance director explained, "This happens sometimes. During practice, she gets short of breath and experiences something similar to hyperventilation. It's not serious, but it can happen."

After calming down, Hong Eunchae finished the performance. She said, "I only thought that I had to do it no matter what."

Huh Yunjin understood the situation, saying, "Eunchae didn't want that to happen. We all worked hard, and it must have been frustrating for her body not to keep up. I also worried if we were pushing too hard."

Four months before their debut, Sakura also experienced similar symptoms during practice but returned to the practice room, saying, "I feel more anxious being away from here."

In an interview, Sakura explained, "I'm afraid of stopping. You don't know how many times in life you'll get the chance to run. We need to keep showing something new and telling our story." She added, "I want us to be remembered as a truly amazing team, both in terms of records and performance."

Kim Chaewon also shared her thoughts, saying, "It's not the right time to say that 'This group (LE SSERAFIM) is the best.' But in the future, I want us to be a truly successful group, known for the best performances and unique stories."

  • Former Crayon Pop's ChoA Opens Up About Her Struggle with Cervical Cancer: 'I Dream of the Day I Can Have a Drink with My Husband Again'"

ChoA, former member of the girl group Crayon Pop, has bravely shared her ongoing battle with cervical cancer and her emotional journey.

On January 28, ChoA posted a heartfelt update on her social media, explaining her struggles. "I usually laugh, talk, and live my life as usual, but there are moments when I suddenly face a reality that isn’t like before, and it gets tough," she shared.

She went on to say, "Recently, something difficult happened, and in the past, I would have had a drink with my husband to shake it off. I really miss being able to do that."

ChoA admitted that she still can’t fully believe her diagnosis. "When I face the reality I’ve been avoiding, my heart that I’ve built up breaks down," she said. "But the life I’m living now, which I’m still enjoying, is something that someone else might be wishing for. I try to gather my thoughts again with gratitude."

She also expressed hope for the future, saying, "Lately, I dream of a day five years from now when I’ll be declared cancer-free and be able to have a drink with my husband after putting the kids to bed, after all the struggles. It’s been almost two years, so I believe the day I get that clean bill of health will come soon."

ChoA married a businessman in 2021, six years older than her. In October 2023, she revealed her cervical cancer diagnosis, sharing that she had been diagnosed during a routine check-up in her first year of marriage.

Despite everything, ChoA remains hopeful, noting that the cancer was smaller than expected during surgery, and she was able to preserve her fertility—a step closer to her dream of becoming a mother.
