The girl group (G)I-DLE has donated 50 million KRW to help with flood recovery efforts.

On July 29th, the Korean Red Cross announced that (G)I-DLE members Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua each donated 10 million KRW, totaling 50 million KRW.

(G)I-DLE made this donation because they recognized the importance of the Red Cross's work in protecting lives and decided to help with the relief efforts for the recent historic flooding.

All the members of (G)I-DLE said, "We hope our donation can comfort the flood victims and help them get back to their daily lives soon."

Chairman Kim Chul Soo of the Korean Red Cross thanked them, saying, "(G)I-DLE's support will be a warm comfort and great strength to the flood victims. The Korean Red Cross will do its best in the flood recovery efforts."

Jin’s solo album Happy has also been a huge success. It sold over 219,000 copies on its first day, making it the third-highest album sales for a K-pop solo artist in Oricon Weekly Album Chart history.

In just three days, Happy reached No. 1 on the Hanteo Country-by-Country Chart in Japan for the third week of November, solidifying Jin's status as a top global artist.
