  • Kyuhyun explains why he doesn't share his opinions in Super Junior and what his life is like now that he lives alone

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun recently opened up about his experience in the group, revealing why he tends to stay quiet and his life living in a dorm for 18 years.

On May 6th, a new video from the web show Salon Drip 2 featuring Kyuhyun as a guest was uploaded to the YouTube channel TEO Theo.

During the show, host Jang Do Yeon asked Kyuhyun if he finds it easier to talk when others do most of the talking.

Kyuhyun responded, "First of all, I don't talk much within Super Junior. I just don’t feel like speaking. The members talk so much that I don’t want to add anything."

He continued, "I don't really have a strong sense of self in the group. I’m the youngest, and there are so many opinions from the others. There were times when a song I liked was rejected, so I stopped sharing my opinions."

As Super Junior approaches their 20th anniversary, Kyuhyun admitted, "I just go along with what the members want," making the audience laugh with his laid-back attitude.

When asked who speaks up the most in the group, Kyuhyun answered, "Eunhyuk, Leeteuk, Ryeowook, Heechul, Siwon, Yesung, and Donghae. I just follow their lead."

Kyuhyun is also known for his long dorm life as an idol. He proudly stated, "I think I’m number one in the world among idols when it comes to living in a dorm," revealing that he’s spent 18 years living there.

Reflecting on his early dorm life, Kyuhyun recalled, "At first, there was no space in the dorm. I used to sleep in a tent I got as a gift. There was no room because the members and even the managers all lived together."

When Jang Do Yeon asked if he ever wanted his own space, Kyuhyun replied, "Now that I live alone, I’m so happy. I can do whatever I want. It feels like I’m a successful adult."

He added, "I didn’t know living alone could be this happy, but sometimes it’s a little scary. Like when I hear noises at home," which made everyone laugh.
