• Ji Chang Wook shares heartfelt stories about his mother on 'You Quiz on the Block'

Actor Ji Chang Wook expressed his deep affection for his mother.

On July 24th, 'You Quiz on the Block' released a preview video titled 'The Reason Ji Chang Wook Still Lives with His Mother' ahead of the main broadcast.

In the video, Ji Chang Wook shared, "In fact, my father passed away early, and my mother went through a lot of hardships." He revealed his heartfelt feelings towards his mother, saying, "As a son, as family, and as a man, I thought I should protect my mother."

Ji Chang Wook then explained the struggles his mother faced during his childhood. "My mother ran a meat restaurant and a spicy fish stew restaurant in the neighborhood. Since she operated them alone, I helped by serving when she was extremely busy. The hardest part at the meat restaurant was cleaning the grill plates, and at the spicy fish stew restaurant, it was cleaning the fish tanks," he said. "We generally lacked money for me to attend school."

Ji Chang Wook also shared an episode about his agency's CEO, who has been his friend for 20 years. "I did part-time jobs together with my current CEO. He's my closest friend, and he started as my manager and is now the CEO of my agency. I suggested the manager role to him," he said.

Ji Chang Wook added, "Back then, we often filmed through the night, and he would drive while dozing off. We frequently had to travel to remote locations, so if he got sleepy, I told him to sleep at a rest area. But every time I woke up, we were still at the rest area," he said, bringing laughter as he explained that a 2.5 to 3-hour journey once took them 9 hours.

Meanwhile, Ji Chang Wook's appearance on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' will air today, July 24th, at 8:45 PM.
