• Jeon So Min is Back After a Break! Returning to Acting with New Movie 'Veranda'

Actress Jeon So Min is making her comeback to acting after taking a break from 'Running Man.'

Jeon So Min finished filming her new movie 'Veranda' (directed by Jo Sung-won) on July 13. The 'Veranda' team announced, "We started filming on June 10 and wrapped up on July 13 after 21 shooting days."

'Veranda' is a romantic thriller about Hayeon (played by Jeon So Min), who has a happy family but starts to suspect someone is spying on her from a nearby apartment. As things go wrong, she uncovers hidden secrets. The film mixes familiar settings with intense suspense.

Jeon So Min's return with 'Veranda' is special because it's her first acting role in about two years since the 2022 drama 'Cleaning Up' and the movie '2037.' During her break from acting, she appeared in variety shows like tvN's 'Skip' and SBS's 'Running Man' with Yoo Jae Seok.

Last November, she surprised fans by leaving 'Running Man,' where she had been a regular member for seven years. Her agency, King Kong by Starship, said she needed a break to recharge for future acting projects. 'Veranda' marks her fresh start.

In 'Veranda,' Jeon So Min plays Hayeon, who is happy with her husband Woojae (played by Ha Soo Ho) and son but gets shaken by misfortune and suspicion, hinting at a powerful performance.

Ha Soo Ho plays her husband Woojae, and Ji Seung-hyun plays Hyun-woo, a man who finds hope after losing his family and meeting Hayeon.

'Veranda' is also the first film directed by Jo Sung-won, who has worked as an art director and set designer for notable Korean films like 'The Battleship Island,' 'Svaha: The Sixth Finger,' 'Peninsula,' and 'Thirst.' His work promises a visually stunning film.

Director Jo Sung-won said, "We aimed to create a work with unique fun and emotions. All the actors brought great energy and expressed their characters perfectly. Viewers will see new sides of the actors in 'Veranda.' We will continue to do our best in post-production."

'Veranda' is set to be released in theaters in 2025.

  • Kwon Min Ah worries fans with emotional post about fear and self-blame: “Everything feels scary, I need to get it together”

Former AOA member Kwon Min Ah—who opened up in the past about being bullied—has once again shared a deep and emotional message on social media, leaving fans feeling concerned and sending love.

On April 23, Min Ah took to her Instagram to write:
“I don’t know if I’ve become completely twisted, or if I’m just scared. Maybe I’m afraid the same thing will happen again. Everything feels scary. And I want to say something sharp to myself too—get it together.”

Along with the message, she posted a selfie where she wore a red knit top, had her hair half-up, and showed a soft pout with a calm expression. Though her outfit and style looked casual, the mood of her words felt heavy.

Fans aren’t sure if Min Ah was directing the message toward someone else or simply speaking to herself. The final line, “get it together,” sounds like a tough love reminder to herself—but also makes many wonder what she’s been going through recently.

People quickly filled the comment section with supportive messages, telling her to stay strong and reminding her she’s not alone.

Min Ah debuted with AOA in 2012 and left the group in 2019. In 2020, she made headlines when she revealed that she had been bullied during her time in the group. The confession caused a huge reaction in the K-pop world, leading to conversations about idols’ mental health and group dynamics.

Recently, she surprised fans when it was revealed she began working as a manager at a dermatology clinic, showing a new side of her life outside of the entertainment spotlight.

Fans continue to cheer her on, hoping she finds peace and happiness in whatever path she chooses next.
