The girl group (G)I-DLE has apologized for wearing lifeguard outfits with unauthorized Red Cross emblems during their performance.
Cube Entertainment, their agency, issued an official statement on the 22nd. They said, “We recognize the issue with (G)I-DLE‘s outfits during their ‘Klaxon’ performance on KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank’ on the 19th. We have contacted the Korean Red Cross to apologize and are actively discussing measures to prevent this from happening again.” They added, “We sincerely apologize to all the affected parties for the inconvenience.”
(G)I-DLE performed their new song ‘Klaxon’ on ‘Music Bank,’ but their lifeguard-themed outfits with Red Cross emblems caused controversy.
According to Article 25 of the Korean Red Cross Act, the Red Cross emblem cannot be used without the organization’s approval. It seems (G)I-DLE was unaware of this rule during their performance.
