• K.Will Talks About Turning 40 and His New Album: "I Felt Lost and Knew I Needed to Change Things Up"

Singer K.Will recently opened up about his new music video for No Breakup Song That Fits Me (Prod. Yoon Sang).

On July 18th, K.Will appeared in a video titled K.Will World-Gay New Music Video Behind, Live Performance Included! | Joo Jung Ki Go Season 2 Ep.02 on the YouTube channel 'Joo Jung Ki Go.'

K.Will shared, “In 2018, while I was working on the musical Notre-Dame de Paris, I also prepared and released an album.” He talked about his decision to jump into musicals as he approached 40, saying, “I was worried about my life and felt I needed to do something new. So, I decided to get involved in musicals,” shedding light on his shift to this new field.

Discussing his new album and activities, K.Will noted, “In the musical Great Comet, I had to learn the accordion and piano, which was quite challenging. I had to be fully prepared for the stage.” He added, “While working on the musicals, I finished recording my album. It’s been 6 years, but now I’m ready to be active again on YouTube, variety shows, and more,” building anticipation for his upcoming projects.

K.Will also explained why he chose to release an album instead of a single: “These days, it’s tough for companies to support full albums. I thought this might be my last physical album. CDs are almost like merchandise now, so I wanted to make this one special.”

Before the release of No Breakup Song That Fits Me, K.Will noted that while there are many ballads and sad songs, most of his tracks are upbeat. He said, “Working with Yoon Sang felt perfect, and actor Ahn Jae-hyun suggested that we should appear on Seo In-guk's YouTube channel. He thought it would be great to tie it in with the vibe of Please Don't…,” showing his confidence in the new song.

K.Will performed live versions of No Breakup Song That Fits Me and Love Blossom, and named I'll Be With You as his favorite song. He shared, “Of the around 200 songs I’ve released, I'll Be With You is my first self-composed track and a special song for my fans.”

K.Will’s seventh mini-album All The Way dropped on June 20. The title track, No Breakup Song That Fits Me, is a heartfelt breakup song that continues the story from his 2012 music video Please Don't….

Since its release, K.Will has been busy with various activities. He will hold the 2024 K.Will Fan Meeting K.M.Ping at Mary Hall Grand Theater at Sogang University on August 17.
