MLD Entertainment, the company behind MOMOLAND, is facing tough financial times.
On July 17th, a representative from MLD told Star News, "We've had wage delays due to financial problems caused by COVID-19. But we're working hard to get back on track, and we're gradually paying the outstanding severance."
Most MLD employees have resigned, leaving fewer than five staff members. Those who left did so with delayed wages and without their severance pay. They reported this to the Labor Office and have only received part of what they are owed.
MLD became famous thanks to MOMOLAND, known for hits like "Bboom Bboom" and "BAAM." However, MOMOLAND officially ended their activities in January last year.
