• Kim Jaejoong Reveals He Was Adopted, "My Youngest Sister Never Had a Birthday Party"

    Singer and actor Kim Jaejoong opened up about his family with deep affection.

    On the 15th, the YouTube channel 'Neighborhood Friend Kang Nami' shared a video titled "Kim Jaejoong has 8 sisters, 34 family members, and gives them allowance…? The day Kang Nami felt like a less filial son."

    In the video, Kim Jaejoong shared, "I have 8 sisters, many close in age. I always feel the need to take care of them, knowing how tough it must have been for them."

    Reflecting on his own upbringing, he revealed, "I was adopted when I was young. My youngest sister and I are less than a year apart in age. She never had a birthday party because we were so close in age. I only found out when I was 20 that we're less than 10 months apart. It felt like she was my pretend younger sister, even going to school in the same grade. Our story has many layers."

    Talking about his expanding family, Kim Jaejoong shared, "I have 8 sisters, 8 brothers-in-law, and potentially 8 nieces or nephews if each sister has a child. Recently, one of my nieces got married, and soon I might become a grandfather."

    He also mentioned, "Every time I see my parents, I give them 5 million won each." When asked about his ideal partner, he said, "I don’t have a specific ideal type, but I value respect and kindness. I prefer someone who respects elders and brings joy to others."

    Recently, Kim Jaejoong made headlines by gifting his parents a standalone house valued at about 6 billion won. The house includes a basement, three floors, an elevator, and a sauna.

    On Spotify, "Seven" became the first Asian artist’s song to surpass 2 billion streams, joining the exclusive "2 Billion Club." It also broke records by staying in Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global Chart Top 50 for more than 350 days.

    Jungkook’s achievements didn’t stop there. His debut solo album GOLDEN made him the first and longest-charting Asian solo artist to stay on the Billboard 200 for 24 straight weeks. He also holds the record for 71 consecutive weeks on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global Chart.
