• Sandara Park, Jun Hyun Moo, Choi Hwa Jung and more Stars Eager to Join Celebrity Version of 'I Am Solo'

Is a celebrity version of 'I Am Solo' in the works? Many stars are expressing their excitement about the possibility!

ENA and SBS Plus's popular dating show 'I Am Solo' has captivated many celebrities. Recently, a bunch of single celebrities have shown interest in joining the show.

On July 12, during MBC Standard FM's 'Hello, This is Lee Moon-se,' guest Jun Hyun Moo shared his strong desire to date. He talked about his past public relationships, saying, "I didn't reveal them, they were found out. No one likes to reveal their relationships." He added, "I like someone who is considerate, kind, and thoughtful. I think I could marry such a person."

Jun Hyun Moo also said, "I want to compete in a celebrity version of 'I Am Solo.' 'Single's Inferno' is too focused on appearances. I prefer a dating show like 'I Am Solo' that has a more human touch." When asked to introduce himself as he would on 'I Am Solo,' he said, "People think I'm playful and don't listen to others, but when you meet me, I actually keep quiet and listen. I want to be a good conversational partner."

On the first episode of ENA's 'Hyunmoo's Casse' on July 11, Jun Hyun Moo also mentioned wanting to join a celebrity version of 'I Am Solo.' He joked that Seo Jang-hoon seemed excited about the idea.

Choi Hwa Jung also expressed her interest in a '50s and 60s celebrity special' of 'I Am Solo' on the July 11 episode of YouTube channel 'VIVO TV's 'Secret Guarantee by Song Eun-i and Kim Sook.' She mentioned actor Park Byung-eun as someone she wanted to see. She was enthusiastic about participating and suggested an audition due to the large number of interested people.

Choi Hwa Jung said, "It's an honor to be considered for the show. It's already an honor for a woman over 60 to be mentioned in a dating program." She added, "I'm doing it for fun, not to change my fate. It would be fun to participate casually."

Other celebrities like actors Lee Jin Wook, Ahn Eun Jin, Nam Yoon Su, and singer Sandara Park have also revealed they are fans of 'I Am Solo,' raising the possibility of their participation if a celebrity version happens.

Last December, the YouTube channel 'Civilization Express' planned a year-end project for 'I Am Solo' with the series 'Looking for Celebrities Crazy About Love.' Stars like CNBLUE's Jung Yong-hwa, T-ara's Eunjung, April's Yoon Chae-kyung, actor Jang Dong-yoon, SISTAR's Hyolyn, Bora, and Nine Muses' Euaerin were involved. However, the project was canceled due to difficulties in securing participants. They expressed reluctance, saying, "I want to do it, but it's burdensome," "I've never loved someone privately in front of cameras," and "Sorry."

This time, with celebrities themselves expressing a desire to participate, the success of the program seems more likely. Fans are already excited and looking forward to it.

  • Kang Ye Won Breaks Down in Tears, Says She’s ‘Destined to Never Marry’—Joins Dating Show for Her 83-Year-Old Father

Actress Kang Ye Won got emotional as she opened up about why she took a break from broadcasting and why she’s finally giving love a chance.

On the March 3 episode of tvN STORY’s Can I Love Now?, Kang Ye Won made her debut as a new participant looking for romance.

During the broadcast, she revealed that negative online comments had deeply affected her. "I used to cry all the time reading comments. I get hurt easily. What might be a small wound for others feels like a huge blow to me," she shared, expressing the stress she faced from malicious remarks.

She also admitted that at one point, she wanted to leave everything behind. "I kept thinking, ‘How long do I have to keep working this hard?’ and it became overwhelming."

She added, "At one point, I thought, ‘I should just quit everything and move to the countryside,’ and that idea actually gave me peace," she confessed.

When it came to dating, Kang Ye Won shared that she had always been content watching others fall in love.

"It never worked out for me. I wasn’t the type to ask for introductions either. I just found comfort in living as an observer. Maybe it’s my fate. I’m fearful, and I lack courage. If I feel like someone might hurt me, I block them out from the start," she admitted.

However, the actress revealed that she ultimately joined Can I Love Now? for her father. "My dad was born in 1943. He had me late in life, and his health isn’t great."

She added, "I realized that if I continue living alone like this, I won’t be able to give my parents any hope until the moment they pass away," she said with tears in her eyes. "My perspective on life has changed. I no longer think just about myself, but about my parents."

Kang Ye Won’s heartfelt confession touched many viewers, leaving fans rooting for her to find happiness.
