The movie 'Escape' has climbed to the top of the box office charts, surpassing 'Inside Out 2'.
According to ticket sales data on the 9th, 'Escape' drew 69,086 viewers on the 8th, bringing its total audience to 806,793.
In its second week, 'Escape' reversed its fortunes to claim the top spot, driven by strong word-of-mouth. The film follows North Korean soldier Kyu-nam (played by Lee Je Hoon) on a life-or-death escape mission, chased by military officer Hyun-sang (played by Koo Kyo Hwan) who seeks to apprehend him.
Featuring intense chase scenes, standout performances by Lee Je Hoon and Koo Kyo Hwan, and skillful direction by Lee Jong-pil, the movie captivates audiences with its diverse elements.
Meanwhile, 'Inside Out 2' slipped to second place during the same period, attracting 56,312 viewers, with a total audience of 6,974,189.
