• BTS Jin Surpasses Jang Won Young and Cha Eun Woo to Rank First in June Idol Individual Brand Reputation

    BTS' Jin has ranked first in the June Idol Individual Brand Reputation.

    The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute extracted 110,769,278 pieces of idol individual brand big data from May 29, 2024, to June 29, 2024, to analyze the brand reputation of 1,730 idols.

    They measured consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community engagement indices to analyze the brand reputation index. Compared to the 73,949,817 pieces of idol individual brand big data from last May, there was a 49.79% increase.

    The brand reputation index is a metric created through big data analysis, finding that consumers' online habits significantly impact brand consumption.

    This analysis of idol individual brand reputation evaluates the positive and negative assessments, media interest, consumer engagement, and communication volume related to idol brands. It also includes monitoring by brand reputation editors and risk assessment.

    The top 30 rankings for June 2024 Idol Individual Brand Reputation are as follows: BTS Jin, IVE's Jang Won Young, ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo, BTS Jungkook, IVE's An Yu Jin, BTS Jimin, BLACKPINK Jennie, BTS J-Hope, Girls' Generation Taeyeon, BTS V, BTS RM, THE BOYZ Juyeon, BLACKPINK Jisoo, BLACKPINK Lisa, Red Velvet Joy, Red Velvet Seulgi, BTS Suga, Red Velvet Irene, Red Velvet Wendy, WANNA ONE Kang Daniel, Girls' Generation Yoona, BLACKPINK Rosé, SEVENTEEN Joshua, aespa Karina, TWICE Jihyo, cignature Jee Won, OH MY GIRL Mimi, Apink Jung Eunji, RIIZE Wonbin, and THE BOYZ Younghoon.

    Koo Chang Hwan, the director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, said, "In the June 2024 Idol Individual Brand Reputation rankings, BTS's Jin topped the list. Comparing the idol individual brand big data from last May, there was a 49.79% increase. Detailed analysis shows a 20.76% decrease in brand consumption, a 15.69% increase in brand issues, a 63.92% increase in brand communication, and an 85.72% increase in brand diffusion."

    He added, "In link analysis, the top-ranking keywords for BTS's Jin in June 2024 Idol Individual Brand Reputation were 'discharged, congratulate, attractive,' and in keyword analysis, 'free hug, Billboard, Super Tuna' were prominent. The positive ratio of big data was recorded at 90.21%."

    ChoA, former member of the girl group Crayon Pop, has bravely shared her ongoing battle with cervical cancer and her emotional journey.

    On January 28, ChoA posted a heartfelt update on her social media, explaining her struggles. "I usually laugh, talk, and live my life as usual, but there are moments when I suddenly face a reality that isn’t like before, and it gets tough," she shared.

    She went on to say, "Recently, something difficult happened, and in the past, I would have had a drink with my husband to shake it off. I really miss being able to do that."

    ChoA admitted that she still can’t fully believe her diagnosis. "When I face the reality I’ve been avoiding, my heart that I’ve built up breaks down," she said. "But the life I’m living now, which I’m still enjoying, is something that someone else might be wishing for. I try to gather my thoughts again with gratitude."

    She also expressed hope for the future, saying, "Lately, I dream of a day five years from now when I’ll be declared cancer-free and be able to have a drink with my husband after putting the kids to bed, after all the struggles. It’s been almost two years, so I believe the day I get that clean bill of health will come soon."

    ChoA married a businessman in 2021, six years older than her. In October 2023, she revealed her cervical cancer diagnosis, sharing that she had been diagnosed during a routine check-up in her first year of marriage.

    Despite everything, ChoA remains hopeful, noting that the cancer was smaller than expected during surgery, and she was able to preserve her fertility—a step closer to her dream of becoming a mother.
