• T-ara's Jiyeon and Hwang Jae Gyun Address Divorce Rumors: "Baseless Rumors"

Singer and actress Jiyeon, formerly of T-ara, along with baseball player Hwang Jae Gyun, faced rumors of divorce just two years after their marriage.

On June 25th, a representative from Jiyeon's side clarified, "After confirming directly with Jiyeon, the rumors of their divorce are baseless."

Speculation about Jiyeon and Hwang Jae Gyun's divorce began circulating online after claims made by broadcasters during a live broadcast on KNN Radio in the Busan-Gyeongnam area. During a game involving the Lotte Giants and Kia Tigers, the announcer mentioned their divorce, which sparked widespread rumors.

The announcer's comment, suggesting that Hwang Jae Gyun's recent performance might be affected by marital issues, was captured in a visible radio clip on YouTube, despite not being aired during commercial breaks.

Additionally, suspicions grew when Jiyeon posted on her YouTube channel's community tab on the 20th, stating, "Due to personal reasons, it seems uploading videos will be difficult for a while. Thank you for your understanding. I will return with a bright appearance."

However, Jiyeon's representative firmly denied these rumors, attributing them to misunderstanding.

Jiyeon and Hwang Jae Gyun married in December 2022, and Jiyeon had previously shared their married life openly on her YouTube channel.

Recently, she expressed hopes of expanding their family with a second child.
