Seo Ye Ji Signs with New Agency, Eyes Fresh Start After Controversies

Actress Seo Ye Ji is making a comeback by joining a new agency after two years.

On the 25th, Sublime Artist Agency announced, “We are pleased to announce that we have signed an exclusive contract with actress Seo Ye Ji. We will provide full support and efforts to create new synergy with Seo Ye-ji, who possesses passion for acting and a diverse charm.”

Seo Ye Ji‘s contract with her previous agency, Gold Medalist, under Kim Soo Hyun, expired last November. After searching for a new agency for about seven months, she has found a new home. Sublime Artist Agency also represents Song Kang Ho, Go Soo-young, Yoon Jung-hee, Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany Young, EXID’s Hani, and Girl’s Day’s Hyeri.

Debuting in 2013 with the tvN drama ‘Potato Star 2013QR3’, Seo Ye Ji rose to stardom with dramas like ‘Save Me’ and ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’. However, in July 2020, she became embroiled in controversies surrounding gaslighting accusations by her ex-boyfriend, talent Kim Jung-hyun, sparking a media frenzy.

Allegations of school bullying, academic fraud, and misconduct followed, marking the toughest crisis of her career since debut. After a hiatus, she returned in 2022 with the tvN drama ‘Eve’.

With her new agency and exclusive contract, Seo Ye Ji is expected to accelerate her comeback preparations.
