• NewJeans Debuts in Japan, Hits No. 1 on Oricon with 'Supernatural'

NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) has made a big splash with their debut in Japan, reaching No. 1 on the Oricon chart right away!

Their Japanese debut single 'Supernatural' topped the 'Daily Single Ranking' on the latest Oricon chart as of June 21.

NewJeans also took over both the Hanteo and Oricon charts on the release day, showing their strong presence in both Korea and Japan.

The single's title track 'Supernatural' also ranked first on real-time charts of local music sites like Line Music and AWA for two days straight, showing how much fans in Japan love them.

Back in Korea, NewJeans also did great. 'Supernatural' hit 34th on Melon's 'Top 100' just an hour after it came out and climbed up to 13th by midnight on June 22. Their other song 'Right Now' also made it onto the chart, showing they’re popular with more than one song.

It's not common for a Japanese single to do so well on Korean music charts. This shows that NewJeans’ unique style and emotions connect with fans no matter the language. Right now, NewJeans has ten songs on Melon's 'Top 100,' including 'Supernatural,' four new songs from last month's double single 'How Sweet,' and six older hits.

The music video for 'Supernatural' is also getting lots of attention. It has a mystical feel and lively performance that fits the New Jack Swing genre. It was the second most popular music video globally on YouTube as of June 21. It’s popular in Korea (1st), Japan (13th), the United States (16th), and the United Kingdom (32nd).

On June 22, NewJeans performed on Nippon TV's 'with MUSIC,' showcasing 'Supernatural,' 'Right Now,' and 'Bubble Gum.' This was the first time they performed 'Right Now,' and their setup with tables and chairs was really cool. They’ll also be on TBS's 'CDTV Live! Live!' on June 24.

  • Park Bo Gum shows he is good with money as his Jongno apartment rises by 500 million won in just one year and sets a new record

Park Bo Gum is not just a talented actor — he’s showing he’s smart with money too!

The star of Netflix’s When Life Gives You Tangerines (폭싹 속았수다) recently made headlines after the value of his apartment jumped by a whopping 500 million won (about 370,000 USD) in just one year.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s real estate transaction records revealed on the 19th, the apartment where Park Bo Gum lives — an 84㎡ unit in Gyeonghuigung Ja-i Complex 2 in Hongpa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul — was sold for a record-breaking 2.54 billion won on March 21st. The unit is located on the 11th floor.

When you compare it to last year’s prices, which ranged from 1.95 billion to 2.05 billion won, that’s a massive increase of about 500 million won!

Gyeonghuigung Ja-i is known as a luxury apartment complex inside Seoul’s historic Four Great Gates area. It’s super close to popular spots like Gwanghwamun, City Hall, and Seodaemun Station on Subway Line 5 — making it really easy to get to hot places like Yeouido, Mapo, and even Gangnam through Line 3’s Dongnimmun Station.

It’s reported that Park Bo Gum moved there back in 2019 after leaving Mokdong in Yangcheon-gu, choosing Gyeonghuigung Ja-i mainly for its perfect location near his work spots.

Other units in the same complex have also been seeing crazy price jumps! A 59㎡ unit recently sold for 1.85 billion won (15th floor) last month, and a 101㎡ unit was sold for 2.73 billion won (7th floor) in February.

An insider from the real estate industry said, "Apartments near palaces will likely stay in high demand because of their historic meaning, the beautiful city surroundings, and great transportation."

Looks like Park Bo Gum definitely made a smart move with this one.
