BTS Jin’s “Super Tuna” Reclaims Top Spot on Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart in Reverse Trend

BTS Jin‘s solo track ‘Super Tuna’ is back at number one on the Billboard chart, showing its comeback power. Jin‘s self-composed song ‘Super Tuna’ secured the top spot on the ‘World Digital Song Sales Chart’ announced by Billboard on June 19 (as of June 22).

‘Super Tuna’ returns to number one after first reaching the top on November 5, 2022, making a strong comeback after a year and seven months. When ‘Super Tuna’ first topped the chart, Jin‘s other solo tracks ‘Abyss’ and ‘Tonight’ also ranked second and third, showing his strong presence in music streaming.

Originally a surprise gift released on Jin’s birthday on December 4, 2021, ‘Super Tuna’ was initially only on SoundCloud and YouTube. It was officially released on all streaming platforms in October 2022.

Upon release, ‘Super Tuna’ dominated both the ‘World Digital Song Sales Chart’ and the ‘Digital Song Sales Chart,’ and spent 45 consecutive weeks on the ‘Billboard Hot Trending Songs Chart,’ proving Jin‘s popularity and success as a solo artist.

Recently, ‘Super Tuna’ topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in Russia, as well as in Nepal, Ecuador, and Austria, achieving number one in a total of 62 countries.

On Spotify, as of June 21 at 6 AM, the song surpassed 116 million streams. The special performance video of ‘Super Tuna’ on BTS’s official YouTube channel ‘BANGTANTV’ has gathered over 97.05 million views, nearing the 100 million mark.

During the ‘2024 FESTA’ offline event on June 13, held a day after his military discharge, Jin surprised fans by performing the full version of ‘Super Tuna’ live, receiving enthusiastic cheers. The stage video, titled ‘Jin (Jin) ‘Super Tuna’ Stage CAM @ June 13, 2024 Seokjin, Clear Weather,’ was later released on BTS‘s YouTube channel and quickly surpassed 1 million views in just 32 hours.

It also climbed to the 20th spot on the music charts for rising popularity. As of June 21 at 6 AM, the video has reached 1.42 million views and ranks 30th on the rising popularity music chart.
