(G)I-DLE‘s Minnie is making headlines on music charts with her OST “Like a Dream”.
Minnie from (G)I-DLE has captured viewers’ hearts with her rendition of “Like a Dream”, featured in the recently ended tvN drama ‘Lovely Runner‘.
“Like a Dream” is a modern rock-style ballad with a medium tempo. Minnie‘s mesmerizing vocals beautifully convey the emotions of fate and first love between the drama’s characters Im Sol (played by Kim Hye Yoon) and Ryu Sun Jae (played by Byeon Woo Seok), adding depth to the drama’s storyline.
The song gained popularity alongside key kissing scenes of Im Sol and Ryu Sun Jae, earning it the nickname “Sunjae Kiss Scene Music” among fans. Released in April, “Like a Dream” continues to hold its place on music charts even after the drama’s conclusion, showing a resurgence in popularity. It peaked in the top 30 during its airing and remains in the top 100, highlighting its lasting appeal.
Earlier this year, (G)I-DLE made waves with their second full album ‘2’ (Two), particularly with the track “Fate” which climbed charts in February and secured top positions. “Fate” has been recognized as a standout retro-inspired song of the year, maintaining strong chart performance.
Looking ahead, (G)I-DLE is set to release their mini 7th album ‘I SWAY’ on July 8th, continuing their active promotions throughout the year.
