EXO leader Suho finds himself in the midst of controversy once again, this time involving members of ChenBaekXi (Chen-Baekhyun-Xiumin).
On June 14th, Suho was set to hold a round of interviews with reporters at his agency to mark the conclusion of the MBN drama 'The Crown Prince Has Disappeared'.
He has been actively promoting his solo mini 3rd album 'Dotted Line (1 to 3)' and recently completed his first solo concert, generating high anticipation for insights from the interview.
However, just hours before the interview, Suho faced unexpected trouble. INB100, the agency representing EXO members Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin as part of ChenBaekXi, announced their decision to sue SM Entertainment, EXO's management company.
INB100 stated, "We will file a lawsuit against SM Entertainment for overdue settlement claims. We seek transparency in financial matters as per our contracts and fair treatment under the law. Our aim is to ensure a fair judgment regarding the fairness of SM's exclusive contracts through this legal process."
This isn't the first time Suho's activities have been disrupted by issues involving ChenBaekXi. Last year, during the musical 'Mozart!', Suho tactfully addressed questions about the group's internal conflicts, emphasizing EXO's solidarity and commitment to delivering great music to their fans.
ChenBaekXi's recent actions have raised concerns within SM Entertainment, particularly regarding potential impacts on other EXO members' solo activities. SM responded, "Despite our efforts to accommodate their activities, including confirming terms with INB100, ChenBaekXi continues to misrepresent our cooperation."
Earlier, INB100 alleged that SM failed to fulfill a 5.5% music distribution commission and unfairly demanded 10% of revenues from ChenBaekXi's individual projects while withholding financial details.
In response, SM defended its stance, accusing INB100 of seeking benefits without fulfilling obligations and taking legal action against Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin for contract violations.
