BTS Tops June Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings Following Jin’s Discharge

In June 2024, BTS secured the top position in idol group brand reputation rankings, according to big data analysis.

From May 13th to June 13th, 2024, the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute gathered 71,624,608 pieces of data on idol group brands, showing a decrease from May’s 84,336,168 pieces.

This index measures online consumer habits impacting brand consumption, including positive and negative evaluations, media and consumer interest, and communication volume, alongside qualitative assessments from brand reputation monitors.

The top 30 idol group brands for June integrated both boy groups and girl groups. BTS led the rankings with a brand reputation index of 6,669,376, marking a significant 177.09% increase from May. Other notable groups included Seventeen, IU, aespa, (G)I-DLE, and BLACKPINK.

Director Koo Chang-hwan of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute highlighted BTS‘s strong brand performance, emphasizing keywords like ‘discharge’, ‘unchanged’, and ‘congratulations’ in link analysis. Keyword analysis underscored terms like ‘Jin’, ‘ARMY’, and ‘free hug’. BTS received a positive sentiment ratio of 94.86%.

Recently, BTS drew attention with Jin‘s discharge from military service. Jin plans to engage with fans through various activities, including a hug event for 1000 attendees at the ‘2024 FESTA’ on the 13th.
