Actor Byeon Woo Seok recently opened up about his post-drama life following the conclusion of ‘Lovely Runner.’ In an interview with Sports Kyunghyang, he discussed various aspects related to the show and his future endeavors.
‘Lovely Runner’ recently wrapped up its run on tvN, achieving solid ratings in the 5-7% range and becoming a near-syndrome hit by dominating various popularity metrics.
Byeon Woo Seok, known for portraying the character Ryu Sun Jae, received acclaim for his role. His portrayal of a character holding onto a pure love letter from his first love resonated with viewers.
However, the transition to life after the drama feels somewhat unfamiliar to him. During the interview, Byeon Woo Seok reflected on facing the first Monday without Sunjae.
He shared, “During the broadcast period, I usually had a routine of exercising at 8 PM. When I go home, it’s usually the end of ‘Lovely Runner,’ so I watch the live broadcast until the end and then catch it again on OTT when it’s uploaded later.”
As for his plans for June 3, he mentioned, “Since I can’t do that anymore, I think I’ll be thinking, ‘Sunjae isn’t coming,’ while eating delicious fruit. I’ll probably just sit on the couch and absentmindedly eat fruit.”
Byeon Woo Seok also expressed his fondness for revisiting his previous works. He said, “Personally, I don’t want to say goodbye to Sunjae quickly. If I have time, I want to binge-watch from the first episode.”
Meanwhile, ‘Lovely Runner’ depicts the story of passionate fan Lim Sol (Kim Hye Yoon), who embarks on a time-travel journey to save Ryu Sun Jae, her beloved character, and their poignant love story, which concluded last month.
Byeon Woo Seok plans to take a brief hiatus and prepare for a fan meeting scheduled for July 6 and 7.
