Even in the midst of fulfilling his military duties, NCT's Taeyong finds himself at the center of attention, sparking discussions among Korean netizens with a recent Instagram post that has left many puzzled.

In the wee hours of May 30, Taeyong shared a serene snapshot of the night sky adorned with the moon, set against a waterfront backdrop.

While the image itself appears innocuous, it's the timing of the post—1 AM—that has raised eyebrows, considering Taeyong's current status as a soldier.

Since commencing his military service on April 15 this year, Taeyong would typically be subject to stringent restrictions on phone usage imposed on enlisted personnel.

The Ministry of National Defense mandates specific timeframes for phone usage, allowing enlisted individuals to access their phones from 6 PM to 9 PM on weekdays and from 8:30 AM to 9 PM on weekends.

These allowances may be further limited during periods of guard duty, night shifts, or intensive training sessions.

Given that Taeyong's post falls outside of these designated timeframes, Korean netizens have expressed varying degrees of skepticism and curiosity regarding his ability to access his phone and post on social media at such an hour.

While some question the validity of Taeyong's post and speculate on potential explanations, others posit that there may be legitimate reasons behind his actions, perhaps involving special permissions or circumstances.

As inquiries swirl, the specifics behind Taeyong's late-night post remain shrouded in mystery. Whether SM Entertainment or Taeyong himself will address these queries is yet to be seen.

In the meantime, fans eagerly await Taeyong's anticipated discharge from military service on December 15, 2025.
