• "Who are you?" — NU’EST Ren’s Dramatic Visual Transformation Leaves Fans Surprised

Visual changes in idols always attract attention, especially when a star undergoes a dramatic transformation like aespa’s Karina famously going blond.

However, sometimes these visual changes spark confusion and concern among fans, as recently seen with a third-generation idol.

In 2012, Pledis Entertainment debuted the five-member boy group NU’EST. The group remained active for many years, briefly promoting as NU’EST W while member Minhyun was part of Wanna One.

Unfortunately, following Pledis’s acquisition by HYBE, NU’EST disbanded, and each member pursued solo activities.

Ren made his solo debut with “Ren’dezvous” in June 2023, sporting a more muscular image than his previous concepts. Despite the change, he remained as handsome as ever, earning praise for his visuals.

Recently, Ren has been appearing in musicals, but some fans were puzzled by a series of photos. In one picture, he wears a blazer, showing noticeable differences in appearance.

His face appears slightly swollen, making it challenging to recognize him at first glance.

Other photos reveal subtle changes in his eyes.

Fans expressed concern and shock, with some admitting they didn’t recognize him initially.

Regardless of the transformation, Ren has always had good looks, and he remains handsome now.
