tvN’s “Lovely Runner” Finale Achieves Highest Ratings Yet with Heartwarming Conclusion

The concluding episode of tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Lovely Runner’ left audiences both laughing and celebrating, as it soared to its highest viewer ratings yet.

According to Nielsen Korea, the 16th episode, which aired on May 28 KST, achieved a nationwide viewership rating of 5.8% on paid platforms, marking a notable increase from the previous broadcast’s 5.3%. Impressively, the metropolitan area registered a rating of 7.2%.

The finale depicted the thrilling conclusion where Im Sol, portrayed by Kim Hye Yoon, finally succeeds in her journey to save Seon Jae, played by Byun Woo Seok.

This poignant narrative of redemption and romance captivated viewers, culminating in a heartwarming ending where Ryu Seon Jae regains his memories, begins dating Im Sol, and she fulfills her dream of becoming a film director.

The episode concluded with a touching proposal under cherry blossoms, sealed with a sweet kiss, offering the satisfying ending fans had hoped for.

Lovely Runner’ has earned acclaim as a ‘Monday blues remedy,’ thanks to its compelling portrayal of a 15-year romance between leads Byun Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, dynamic plot twists, memorable scenes, and stellar performances.

The drama’s popularity extended beyond its storyline, with the cast, including Byun Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, becoming hot topics and attracting a dedicated fan base.

In contrast, ENA’s ‘Crash’ saw a peak in its viewership with its 6th episode, reaching 5% nationwide and 5.3% in the metropolitan area.

Meanwhile, KBS2’s ‘Dare to Love Me’ faced a dip in ratings, recording its lowest viewership at 1.1% nationwide and in the metropolitan area.
