SEVENTEEN, the popular K-pop group, celebrated their 9th debut anniversary in a special way—by making a significant contribution to a worthy cause.
On the 26th, SEVENTEEN donated to the “Global Education Environment Fund,” as announced by the Korean Committee for UNESCO on the 28th.
This fund will support educational campaigns, including expanding the #GoingTogether initiative and hosting the ‘UNESCO Forum on the Future of Education.’
The members of SEVENTEEN expressed their joy at being part of such a meaningful cause on their debut anniversary. They consider this occasion as special as their own birthdays.
Since their debut in 2015, SEVENTEEN has consistently engaged in philanthropic efforts, particularly focusing on children and youth during their debut anniversaries.
Starting in 2022, they actively participated in UNESCO’s GoingTogether campaign, contributing to educational reconstruction in Malawi, Africa, and the establishment of a learning center in East Timor.
Additionally, SEVENTEEN made their mark as global speakers at the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum held at the UNESCO headquarters in France last November.
In other exciting news, SEVENTEEN is gearing up to perform next month at the Glastonbury Festival, which takes place at Worthy Farm in Somerset, UK.
