NewJeans made an appearance on SBS ‘Inkigayo‘ on May 26, but without their youngest member, Hyein, who is taking a break due to a foot injury.
The group recently dropped their double single ‘How Sweet‘ on May 24, marking their return after a 10-month hiatus. Despite Hyein‘s absence, the four members performed their new tracks, ‘Bubble Gum’ and ‘How Sweet’.
During the show, the girls chatted with the MCs. Danielle shared her excitement, saying, “I missed Bunnies (their fans) so much and I’m so happy to be with them again. I love Bunnies.”
When asked which member was the sweetest, like their song ‘How Sweet‘, everyone pointed to Hyein.
Minji said, “It’s Hyein, who is probably watching us right now. She gave us warm hugs and cheered us on before ‘Inkigayo’,” then added, “Are you watching, Hyein?” making the moment extra touching.
