• Byeon Woo Seok surprises Kim Hye Yoon with a sweet birthday present in "Lovely Runner" preview

Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon had a memorable birthday date just before they encountered the 'bad guy' Heo Hyung Kyu. The mystery behind the necklace that Kim Hye Yoon wore during the previously aired Dampori trip was also revealed.

On May 20th, before the airing of the 13th episode of tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Lovely Runner', a sneak peek of the two's amusement park date was released.

Earlier, Ryu Sun Jae (played by Byeon Woo Seok) and Im Sol (played by Kim Hye Yoon) went to the amusement park to celebrate Sol's birthday on May 4th. Sol, who last visited with her late father when she was a child, said, "Let's meet again in 2023 and come back here."

In the sneak peek, the two ride the Ferris wheel, the main event of their date. Sun Jae, who rushed over, said, "I ran a lot. It's your birthday, so you have to make a wish," and gave her a birthday cake.

Inside the tiny Ferris wheel high in the sky, Sun Jae lit a cake with two candles and sang a birthday song at Sol's request. Sol said, "Wow, I'm hearing Ryu Sun Jae's live performance right in front of me," and was overjoyed.

Sun Jae told Sol, "Check your right pocket," and Sol, who found the necklace in the right pocket of her dress, said, "I'm so happy I can't find the words," and started to cry.

Sun Jae tried to put the necklace on her, but it didn't go as smoothly as in a drama, and the Ferris wheel reached the ground just in time.

The staff, who misunderstood the two's closeness while putting on the necklace, said, "We'll give you another round for free," and closed the Ferris wheel door again, and Sol, blushing, fanned herself and laughed.

What's interesting is the netizens' reaction. They commented on the S-shaped necklace, which looks like a Superman emblem, saying, "Our Sun Jae really only knew how to swim," "Sun Jae… Do you really have a knack for picking gifts? Did you choose a necklace with an S because it's Sol? Ryu Sun Jae is not allowed to pick gifts by himself," "I saw the necklace and thought, huh? But it wasn't just me ㅋㅋㅋ This is the first time I've seen such a big and honest S since the Superman clothes."

Meanwhile, the 13th episode of 'Lovely Runner' will air at 8:50 pm on May 20th.
