ATBO‘s Yeonkyu had a face-to-face encounter with IVE‘s Liz, and his rosy cheeks had everyone chuckling.
On the May 19th episode of MBC‘s ‘King of Mask Singer‘, a lineup of masked singers took the spotlight, all aiming to end ‘Joy and Sorrow are Rock‘s’ winning streak of nine victories.
On that day, Lee Ye Jun‘s rendition of ‘Crazy Noise‘ touched Shim Jin Hwa‘s heart. ‘Golden Daughter‘, who performed IU‘s ‘Red Shoes‘, managed to outshine ‘Hourglass‘. As the celebrity judges had guessed, ‘Hourglass‘ was none other than Liz from IVE.
In the first round, ATBO‘s Yeonkyu, who identified Liz quicker than anyone else, stumbled over his words when asked, “How did you spot her so fast?” He replied, “She’s been in the limelight since her comeback, so I’ve been keeping tabs.”
Kim Gura, who was observing Yeonkyu, noted, “This guy’s face is getting all red.” True enough, after Liz‘s identity was revealed, Yeonkyu‘s ears and face turned a noticeable shade of red, a stark contrast to his usual complexion.
Kim Sung Joo and Shin Bong Sun couldn’t help but tease him, asking, “Why are you tripping over your words?”, “Your ears are so red. What’s the matter?”
Yeonkyu, hiding his face in embarrassment, tried to clarify, “It’s because she’s my senior. No, wait, that’s not it.” But Kim Gura beside him concluded, “You have a crush on her,” which sent everyone into fits of laughter.
