The contract extension talks for Kep1er have reportedly come to a standstill.
On May 17, reports emerged suggesting that Kep1er, the project girl group from ‘Girls Planet 999,’ might be parting ways. This comes despite earlier news that 7 out of the 9 members had decided to extend their contracts with the project group.
Insiders have revealed that the discussions around contract extensions for Kep1er have ended without reaching a consensus.

Earlier speculations hinted at Kep1er reorganizing as a 7-member group, excluding Kang Yeseo and Mashiro, but it appears that no final decision has been made yet.
In response to these reports, CJ ENM clarified that they are still in talks with the members and their respective agencies.
They stated, “We’re currently in discussion with the members and their respective agencies regarding contract renewals.”
In the meantime, Kep1er is gearing up for the release of their first full album ‘Kep1going On,’ slated for June 3 KST.
