IVE‘s very own Rei recently had an unforgettable encounter with Red Velvet‘s Joy.
A video titled ‘First reveal! REI’s active flirting from the first meeting‘ was shared on the YouTube channel ‘Follow REI by Subshipdo’.
In the video, Joy from Red Velvet made a surprise appearance, much to the delight of Rei. Rei couldn’t help but compliment Joy, saying “She’s just so stunning.”
Rei took a trip down memory lane, sharing how her dream of becoming an idol was inspired by Red Velvet. She touched everyone’s hearts when she handed Joy a heartfelt letter, saying “Red Velvet inspired me to chase my dream of becoming an idol.”
Later, Rei prepared a lasagna for Joy and they continued their heart-to-heart talk. Rei opened up about her struggles and expressed her gratitude towards Joy, who reassured her by saying “I’m here for you. You can tell me everything.”
Rei was moved to tears and said “I never knew that the group I admired from afar would mean so much to me. I’m truly grateful.”
Moreover, Rei and Joy spent quality time making dolls and discussing various topics like health and diet.
In the end, Rei thanked Joy with a smile on her face, saying “I’m really grateful for your time and for sharing your stories with me as if we’ve known each other for a long time.”
On another note, IVE, which Rei is a part of, released their album ‘IVE SWITCH‘ last month and are currently promoting their double title tracks ‘HEYA‘ and ‘Accendio‘ in Korea.
Interestingly, IVE was the only K-pop group to be featured in Forbes‘ prestigious ‘30 Under 30 Leaders in Asia‘.
