Taehyung’s recent release, “FRI(END)S”, has soared to #1 on iTunes in 100 countries, making it the first song released in 2024 to achieve this feat.
“FRI(END)S” marks Taehyung’s fifth solo song to hit 100 #1’s on iTunes, following his tracks “Sweet Night,” “Christmas Tree,” “Slow Dancing,” and “wherever u r.”
Unveiled in March 2024, “FRI(END)S” is a pop soul R&B track that conveys the longing to transition from friends to something more, as subtly suggested by the clever wordplay in the title.
