Park Na Rae's team responds to crazy police rumors and reveals new details about the theft
Comedian Park Na Rae has set the record straight after rumors circulated about her involvement with the police.
On April 15, Park Na Rae’s team confirmed to Newsen that reports claiming she visited the police station were false. They clarified, “The news that Park Na Rae attended the police station is false."
It turns out that Park Na Rae’s lawyer and staff appeared for the investigation on her behalf, not the comedian herself.
The rumors suggesting that Park Na Rae had to cancel filming for her web variety show, "Narae's Kitchen," to attend the police station were also debunked.
Her team explained, “After the theft incident occurred, the production team suggested delaying the filming by a week, not canceling it. Filming will continue next week."
The theft incident involved a shocking loss of 5.5 billion KRW at Park Na Rae’s home. On April 14, her team released a statement saying, “We believe the incident was a theft committed by an outsider."
They added, "We provided the police with CCTV footage from her home on April 8 and requested an investigation. The police identified the suspect and made an arrest. It appears an arrest warrant was already issued.”
The team expressed relief over the swift arrest, thanking the investigators for their hard work. They also addressed speculations that the theft might have been committed by someone close to Park Na Rae, saying, “This is not true. We kindly ask that you refrain from reporting unverified information.”
Finally, Park Na Rae’s team warned about the spread of false rumors, stating, “False rumors are spreading recklessly on online communities and social media."
They added, "We will take strict legal action without leniency against these false claims. We sincerely thank everyone who has shown concern and support.”
