• (G)I-DLE's Minnie and Yuqi Discuss Contract Renewal Plans on Super Junior's Talk Show

In a recent appearance on Super Junior’s YouTube talk show, “DNE comment ‘Hey, Come Here’,” (G)I-DLE’s Minnie and Yuqi delved into their thoughts about the upcoming contract renewal period.

The candid conversation shed light on their expectations from Cube Entertainment.

Eunhyuk initiated the discussion by asking about the contract expiration date, to which Yuqi replied, “We have one year left.” Donghae chimed in, advising them to start discussions promptly.

Yuqi playfully added, “That’s why when we visit the label these days, we sit back and relax.”

Curious about contract negotiations, Yuqi sought advice from her seniors, Donghae and Eunhyuk. Donghae inquired if the (G)I-DLE members had any specific wishes from the company.

Minnie and Yuqi didn’t hold back in sharing their desires for the contract renewal.

Minnie emphasized a “(bigger) percentage,” while Yuqi revealed that Cube Entertainment treats them well, partly due to their playful banter.

When asked about the jokes they made, Yuqi explained, “We’d say, ‘There’s only a year and a half left,’ and humorously add, 'Our stock prices plummeted after that. They warned us, ‘If you don’t mean it, don’t say it anymore.’”

    Korean netizens weighed in:

"Looks like they’re leaning toward renewing their contracts.”

    “Are they really renewing?”

“Time flies—it’s been 7 years since (G)I-DLE’s debut.”

“Glad to hear they’re treated well.”

“Cube should continue treating them well.”

“My bet is they’ll stay with Cube.”
