• BABYMONSTER's debut album with Ahyeon hits the jackpot with over 400,000 copies sold!

YG Entertainment's fresh-faced girl group, BABYMONSTER, is making waves with their debut album.

As per the Hanteo Chart on April 8, BABYMONSTER's first mini-album 'BABYMONS7ER' has sold a whopping 401,287 copies from April 1 to April 7. This is a record-breaking initial sales figure for a K-pop girl group's debut album.

'BABYMONS7ER' has been a hot topic even before its release, with over 460,000 pre-orders. The group has managed to build a solid fanbase through their unique self-produced content and music that carries the signature YG style.

Given that BABYMONSTER has just kick-started their journey, the final sales volume is predicted to skyrocket. YG also mentioned that some overseas export volumes are yet to be added to the tally.

BABYMONSTER isn't just winning in album sales but is also making their presence felt on various global charts. Their first mini-album clinched the top spot on the iTunes Worldwide Album Chart, and the title track 'SHEESH' secured the 69th position on Spotify's Daily Top Song Global Chart, setting a new record for a K-pop girl group this year.

Living up to their title as the next 'YouTube Queen', the 'SHEESH' music video is a massive hit. It became the 'Most Viewed Video in 24 Hours' right after its release and swiftly topped the YouTube Global Weekly Chart. The view count is on a steep rise, already surpassing 76.95 million views and racing towards the 100 million mark.

  • Fans lose it after seeing IU, Kim Seon Ho, and more "When Life Gives You Tangerines" stars reunite at one special event

The When Life Gives You Tangerines cast melted fans’ hearts once again — this time off-screen!

On April 15, the VIP premiere of the film Yadang took place at Megabox COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, and it quickly turned into a Poksak reunion.

The event was already buzzing with big names like Uhm Tae Woong (who made his first appearance in 8 years), Lee Min Ho, Ha Ji Won, Lee Joo Young, Hyeri, Lee Yu Bi, Kim Sung Kyun, and even Single’s Inferno 4's Lee Si An.

But the surprise appearance of severalWhen Life Gives You Tangerines cast members made fans super emotional.

IU, who played Gwansik’s daughter Geum Myeong in the Netflix series, was spotted quietly entering the theater wearing a mask. A fan who noticed her shared a photo, writing, “Poksak daughter Geum Myeong is here!”

Kim Seon Ho also showed up and quickly got attention. Fans recognized him despite the mask and commented, “Chung Seop is here too!” and “Park Hae Joon’s son-in-law came!” Kim Seon Ho made a special appearance in the series as Geum Myeong’s husband.

In Poksak, Park Hae Joon played the loving father Gwansik, but in Yadang, he takes on a much tougher role as a drug squad detective who never gives up on catching criminals. His transformation is already gaining attention from fans eager to see him in a new light.
