Actress Han So Hee's recent attempts to renew her contracts for both alcohol and bank ads have hit a snag. The spotlight now turns to Kim Ji Won and Go Yoon Jung, who have been picked as the fresh faces for these campaigns.
As per financial insiders on April 7th, 'NongHyup Bank' is all set to roll out print ads featuring Go Yoon Jung from this week. The ads will be unveiled gradually across various platforms.
For the past three years, actors Kang Ha Neul and Han So Hee have been the faces of these ads, but their contracts recently came to an end. This has paved the way for Go Yoon Jung to step in as the new model.
After careful consideration, NongHyup Bank chose Go Yoon Jung, who has been making waves in the ad industry with her vibrant and chic image, as their lead model.
Last month, Han So Hee's contract with the soju brand 'Chum Churum' also expired. Han So Hee had been modeling for 'Chum Churum' since March of the previous year, but the contract was not renewed at the start of this month.
This has drawn attention to the duration of her previous modeling contracts. For comparison, Lee Hyori and Suzy modeled for 5 years, and Blackpink's Jennie for 2 years, while Han So Hee's stint lasted just 1 year.
According to sources in the liquor industry, 'Chum Churum' has selected Kim Ji Won as their new model. Kim Ji Won is currently enjoying a surge in popularity for her role as Hong Hae In, a third-generation chaebol, in the tvN weekend drama 'Queen of Tears'.
Han So Hee has been in the news recently due to consecutive failures in contract renewals. There's speculation that the controversy surrounding her recent admission of dating Ryu Jun Yeol may have played a part.
The couple broke up after two weeks of public dating, leading to further speculation about the fallout from the controversy.
In response to this, her agency Nine Ato Entertainment told Xsportsnews, "The advertising model contract between Han So Hee and 'Chum Churum' ended at the beginning of this month, and it was decided not to extend the contract by mutual agreement."
They added, "The decision not to extend the contract with NH NongHyup Bank was made by mutual agreement at the end of last year," and clarified, "The termination of the contract is completely unrelated to the dating rumors."
