• NewJeans set to rock Tokyo Dome with 24-track stage performance, including 4 new songs

NewJeans is gearing up to set the stage on fire with a whopping 24 songs at their fan meet in the iconic Tokyo Dome, Japan.

Their agency, ADOR, dropped the news on March 30th via their official channel, revealing that NewJeans’ second fan meet, ‘Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome’, is scheduled for June 26-27.

The fan meet promises to be a musical extravaganza, with NewJeans performing all the tracks from their three albums so far, plus four brand new songs set to drop in May and June. That’s not all - the group will also treat fans to six special solo performances, making it a grand total of 24 songs over 150 minutes.

The first day of the fan meet will see the popular Japanese duo YOASOBI gracing the event as special guests, while the second day will feature UK-based singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama.

Fans are buzzing with excitement over their appearances, especially since both have openly expressed their admiration for NewJeans. YOASOBI had previously shared the stage with NewJeans at a year-end event in Japan, and Rina Sawayama had covered NewJeans’ hit ‘OMG’, creating quite a stir.

The event will kick off with an opening DJ set by Producer 250, the mastermind behind NewJeans’ chart-toppers like ‘Ditto’ and ‘Hype Boy’.

NewJeans has made history by being the fastest foreign artist to perform at the Tokyo Dome, just 1 year and 11 months post-debut. They demonstrated their massive fan pull even before their official debut in Japan, with their performance at ‘Summer Sonic’, Japan’s premier music festival, in August last year.

Their popularity and achievements in Japan have earned them prestigious awards like the ‘Japan Record Awards’ and ‘Japan Gold Disc Awards’.

NewJeans is all set to release double singles in Korea and Japan on May 24 and June 21, respectively, and has plans to stay active in both countries. The May single will feature the title track ‘How Sweet’ and ‘Bubble Gum’, while the June single will include the title track ‘Supernatural’ and ‘Right Now’.

  • Hyun Bin Apologizes for the 'Ddongcha' Theory After 20 Years: "I Was Wrong" - Actor Clears the Air About Iconic Role

Hyun Bin is finally addressing the long-standing "ddongcha" (poop car) theory surrounding his character from My Name is Kim Sam-soon—and he's not holding back!

In an interview on the 19th with Star News, the beloved actor confessed, "I was wrong," responding to the reevaluation of his iconic role as Hyun Jin-heon from the 2005 hit drama. The "ddongcha" theory has been a subject of online debate for years, with many viewers critiquing Hyun Jin-heon’s character as overly arrogant and entitled.

Hyun Bin, who first rose to fame in My Name is Kim Sam-soon, took the time to reflect on the character that made him a household name. He shared, “I was just following the script; there were no personal opinions added to the character of Hyun Jin-heon. At that time, I knew Hyun Jin-heon was portrayed as a ‘bad boy,’ and the way it was expressed was different from today’s standards.”

With My Name is Kim Sam-soon now being re-released as part of Wavve's "New Classic" project, fans are revisiting the 2005 drama, and the character of Hyun Jin-heon is under fresh scrutiny. Director Kim Yun-cheol even admitted that the "prince on a white horse" and "bad boy" tropes that once worked in 2005 don’t quite match today's sensibilities, leading to edits in the 2024 version.

Hyun Bin humbly acknowledged his gratitude for his successful career and hit works, saying, "It’s wonderful and I am grateful to have so many hit works. I’ve been fortunate to work with amazing writers, directors, and actors. Thanks to them, I’ve received a lot of attention and love." He also shared a sense of humility, noting, “But I never know when that luck will come again."

Despite the dramatic shift in perspective on his character, Hyun Bin’s charm and dedication remain strong. Fans are eager to see him in his upcoming film Harbin (directed by Woo Min-ho), set to be released on the 24th.
