• Actress Song Ha Yoon is next to become embroiled in school bullying rumors amid rise to fame

Actress Song Ha Yoon, known for her antagonistic role in "Marry My Husband", is the latest celebrity to face school bullying accusations.

On April 1, 2024, JTBC's 'Crime Chief' aired a report about a well-known actress, referred to as "Ms. S," who is now under scrutiny for alleged school violence.

The accuser, who was a year junior to Ms. S in high school, shared their story. They said that Ms. S had unexpectedly asked them to meet at a nearby playground. Upon arrival, they were reportedly assaulted by Ms. S, who slapped them repeatedly for an hour and a half without any explanation.

The accuser also mentioned that Ms. S's boyfriend at the time was an 'iljin', a term used in Korea to describe students engaged in harmful activities, including bullying.

They claimed to have spoken with the boyfriend over the phone, who acknowledged the past events when informed about the tip-off, implying he couldn't prevent the accuser from coming forward.

The accuser, now residing in the United States, had previously approached Ms. S's agency to report the incident. They stumbled upon Ms. S on a variety show, which prompted them to contact her agency. The agency responded that they couldn't confirm the allegations with Ms. S as she was abroad for work.

The CEO of the agency proposed to arrange a meeting between Ms. S and the accuser, either by bringing Ms. S to the US or by funding the accuser's trip to South Korea.

Despite the accuser's refusal, the agency persisted in arranging a meeting. The accuser stated that Ms. S later told her agency that she had no recollection of the alleged incident.

In the meantime, the news report featured a blurred photo of Ms. S, which netizens quickly identified as a picture of actress Song Ha Yoon.

Song Ha Yoon has recently gained popularity through the drama "Marry My Husband," leading to a significant increase in her variety show appearances.
