• Girls' Generation's Taeyeon explains her decision not promoting 'To.X' on music shows despite huge success

Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, who's been riding high with her solo album 'To. X', spilled the beans on why she's been MIA from music shows.

On March 28th, Taeyeon popped up on the online channel '동해물과 백두은혁 Hey, Come here' web show '이쪽으로올래'. That day, Taeyeon didn't hold back, saying, "I'm not a fan of how music shows operate."

Taeyeon dropped her solo album 'To.X' in November last year. The title track, also named 'To.X', climbed up various music charts. On social media, challenge videos synced to the lyrics went viral, making it a massive hit.

But, the no-show of 'To.X' on music broadcasts left many fans feeling bummed. Taeyeon, talking about her absence from music shows, said, "I get it, but I think it's thoughtless to have to perform at dawn." It's common knowledge that music shows usually do their pre-recordings in the wee hours.

Taeyeon acknowledged, "There are things you can't avoid," and also thought about the music shows' perspective.

Super Junior's Eunhyuk, who was hosting, agreed with the harsh reality of music shows, saying, "There are budget constraints and many artists have to pre-record. It's inevitable."

Taeyeon expressed her disappointment that she can't give her best performance on music shows due to various factors. Instead, she feels it's way better to create other content and deliver a top-notch performance.

Eunhyuk chimed in, saying that while music shows were a must-do in the past, now there are plenty of other platforms to showcase talent. He nodded, saying, "It's right for me to strive for more, create better, and show something superior."

Meanwhile, over at the channel '동해물과 백두은혁 Hey, Come here', Super Junior's Eunhyuk and Donghae are killing it as hosts. Starting with their first guest, Taeyeon, they're all set to meet guests every week and share heartwarming stories.

During the broadcast, she revealed that negative online comments had deeply affected her. "I used to cry all the time reading comments. I get hurt easily. What might be a small wound for others feels like a huge blow to me," she shared, expressing the stress she faced from malicious remarks.

She also admitted that at one point, she wanted to leave everything behind. "I kept thinking, ‘How long do I have to keep working this hard?’ and it became overwhelming."
