    The drama, helmed by writer Kim Ho-soo and director Kang Il-soo, known for their work on the hit series "Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung," promises a delightful romantic comedy set in an unconventional potato research institute.

    In "Potato Research Institute," Lee Sun Bin takes on the role of Kim Mi-kyung, a seasoned potato researcher with twelve years of experience. Despite her initial appearance as a long-term job seeker, Mi-kyung surprises everyone with her vast knowledge of biological terms and her dedication to developing the perfect potato, aptly named "Mi-kyung," through a clandestine project.

    Despite her vow to avoid office romances, Mi-kyung finds herself falling for the institute's new director, So Baek-ho, portrayed by Kang Tae Oh. Their relationship begins with misunderstandings but gradually blossoms into something more.

    Kang Tae Oh, known for his captivating smile, gentle demeanor, and striking visuals, embodies the character of So Baek-ho, a man who lacks social connections and basic courtesy despite his charming exterior.

    Lee Sun Bin, who awaits the release of several films, including "The Sound of Breath" and "Noise," brings her talent to the forefront once again after her recent appearances in "Boys Over Flowers" and the upcoming series "Mission Possible."

    On January 29, the latest episode of Dex’s Fridge Interview was released on YouTube. During the chat, Dex asked Jisoo if she ever rebelled or broke the rules as a trainee. She confidently replied, “Not at all. The only rebellion I had as a trainee was eating.”

    Dex then jokingly imitated her younger self, saying, “I’m perfect, so why are they telling me not to eat? I’m going to eat tteokbokki!”

    Jisoo laughed and admitted, “Actually, I was really chubby back then. They kept telling me to lose weight, but I always said, ‘No, I need to eat. I like myself chubby.’”

    She even recalled a moment with YG Entertainment’s founder, Yang Hyun Suk:
    “The boss told me to lose weight, and I responded like that. He just walked away, thinking, ‘She’s a weird one.’ I literally said, ‘No! I like myself chubby!’”

    Jisoo then revealed that after she debuted, she naturally lost weight. She added, “Later, after I debuted and naturally lost weight, he was like, ‘You didn’t lose weight when I told you to, but now that you debuted, you did.’”
