Just a day before, fans demanded that SM Entertainment change the design for RIIZE's official light stick.
On March 5, RIIZE shared a teaser featuring a shadow of a hand pointing upwards with the words "RIIZE Official Fanlight Coming Soon."
According to the announcement made on the social media platform X, RIIZE's official light stick will be released in April.
Although fans were excited that the boy group was finally getting their own light stick, many criticized that the light stick was too similar to Epik High's light stick 'Park Kyu Bong,' which was released in 2023. Also, some fans pointed out that the hand shape is a gesture used as an insult in some countries.
With countless fans inquiring about the design change for RIIZE's light stick, SM Entertainment released a new teaser photo that has caused a buzz in various online communities.
SM Entertainment removed the hand shape from the first teaser photo and uploaded a new teaser photo with the phrase, "Official fanlight will be released in April. The design and details will be released soon."
This latest teaser caused many fans to become excited and gather in a popular online community to share their opinions on this matter.
They commented, "I think the design is changing," "They removed the hand," "I think something is changing," "Please change the design," "I can't believe the complaints actually worked," "I hope they're not just changing the shape of the finger," "Yes, please change the design," "Wow, SM actually listened?" "This worked?" "Thank goodness," and "It wasn't even April fools day and they released that design."
