• Netizens say Choi Woo Shik's viral scene in "A Killer Paradox" felt "unnecessary" and "out of place"

Netflix's new K-Drama, "A Killer Paradox" (also known as "Murder DIEary"), has left viewers stunned right from the first episode.

The show, which premiered on February 9, follows the life of college student Lee Tang, played by Choi Woo Shik, and detective Jang Nan Gam, played by Son Suk Ku. The plot is based on the Naver Webtoon by Kkomabi.

In the first episode, Lee Tang, who works at a convenience store, encounters two customers. One of them, Yeo Bu Il, leaves his friend passed out on the street. When Lee Tang confronts him, Yeo Bu Il attacks him. Lee Tang fights back in self-defense, leading to Yeo Bu Il's death.

As the episode progresses, Lee Tang panics about being caught for murder. However, the detectives conclude that the two men killed each other. They also discover that Yeo Bu Il was a serial killer living under a false identity.

Upon learning this, Lee Tang feels some relief knowing that the man he killed was not innocent. He then has sex with a woman, but he appears disconnected and still feels guilt.

Viewers were shocked by the explicit sex scene, especially as it came so early in the series. Many netizens agreed that the scene was unnecessary and felt out of place.
