• Actor Lee Jung Jae chooses BTS Jungkook's 'Standing Next To You' as a song that gives him strength

Actor Lee Jung Jae recently expressed his admiration for BTS's Jungkook.

In a video titled '2024 Lunar New Year Greetings: What song gives you strength?' posted on February 9th on the official YouTube channel of Artist Company, actors from the company extended their New Year's greetings to fans.

During the video, Lee Jung Jae selected Jungkook's 'Standing Next To You' as his song of strength, even singing a verse himself and mentioning that it was released not too long ago.

He wished everyone a prosperous and joyful holiday, adding, "I believe there will be two projects to present to you this year. I filmed a lot last year, so this year, I'll have numerous opportunities to meet you in person and discuss various topics. I'm also excited and looking forward to it."

Lee Je Hoon, another actor who previously presented an award at the '2023 MAMA Awards in Tokyo', also highlighted Jungkook as a K-pop artist he's currently interested in. He praised Jungkook, expressing his desire to emulate him every time he sees him perform.

Jungkook's title track 'Standing Next to You' from his solo album 'GOLDEN', released in November last year, debuted at second place on Spotify's 'Daily Top Song Global Chart', the world's largest music streaming platform. It maintained the first and second positions alongside his solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' for three consecutive days and climbed to the top spot on the fourth day.

'Standing Next to You' is a retro punk song that brings back the 80's vibe, with its grand sound and Jungkook's groovy vocals taking center stage.

Despite his ongoing military service, Jungkook continues to dominate the US Billboard charts. As of February 10, his solo singles 'Seven' and '3D', along with 'Standing Next to You' from his solo album 'GOLDEN', ranked 28th, 88th, and 31st respectively on the 'Global 200' chart.

Jungkook, who enlisted in December last year, is currently serving in the military and is expected to be discharged in June next year.

Actress Kang Ye Won got emotional as she opened up about why she took a break from broadcasting and why she’s finally giving love a chance.

On the March 3 episode of tvN STORY’s Can I Love Now?, Kang Ye Won made her debut as a new participant looking for romance.

During the broadcast, she revealed that negative online comments had deeply affected her. "I used to cry all the time reading comments. I get hurt easily. What might be a small wound for others feels like a huge blow to me," she shared, expressing the stress she faced from malicious remarks.

She also admitted that at one point, she wanted to leave everything behind. "I kept thinking, ‘How long do I have to keep working this hard?’ and it became overwhelming."

She added, "At one point, I thought, ‘I should just quit everything and move to the countryside,’ and that idea actually gave me peace," she confessed.

When it came to dating, Kang Ye Won shared that she had always been content watching others fall in love.

"It never worked out for me. I wasn’t the type to ask for introductions either. I just found comfort in living as an observer. Maybe it’s my fate. I’m fearful, and I lack courage. If I feel like someone might hurt me, I block them out from the start," she admitted.

However, the actress revealed that she ultimately joined Can I Love Now? for her father. "My dad was born in 1943. He had me late in life, and his health isn’t great."

She added, "I realized that if I continue living alone like this, I won’t be able to give my parents any hope until the moment they pass away," she said with tears in her eyes. "My perspective on life has changed. I no longer think just about myself, but about my parents."
