In a recent development, Red Velvet's Irene has chosen to extend her partnership with SM Entertainment, marking a continuation of a bond built on trust and a shared vision for the future.

The decision to renew her contract highlights the unwavering support Irene has received from SM, paving the way for exciting endeavors ahead.

Expressing her gratitude and confidence in the company, Irene conveyed, "I've decided to renew my contract due to the steadfast support of SM's dedicated staff, who have been with me since the beginning of my career."

Furthermore, SM pledged comprehensive support to enhance Irene's global presence as an artist while seeking continued love and interest from fans worldwide.

Amidst the announcement, netizens shared their thoughts:

"And ReVeLuvs all over breathed a sigh of relief. But what about the other three tho? Kinda worried since Joy has been having health issues and Wendy has been voicing a lot of discontent."

"I am beyond excited! Hopefully Red Velvet will have more comebacks in the following years. I have been a Luvie since Day 1 (get it?)! Red Velvet was the group that got me into kpop and I am excited that their story is not ending yet."

"People may not like SM or certain other companies, but at the end of the day, fans easily forget that this is their career."

"Good for Irene to not let the haters kick her down."

"They can still have a OT5 comeback even if Yeri, Joy and Wendy leave for other agencies like SNSD did."

"She renewed because SM stood by her and continued to support her despite her scandal. Unlike YG w/ GD or HYBE w/ Garam or Cube w/ Soojin."

    "Irene following BoA footsteps."

"Waiting for the once a year release from full Red Velvet team."

"So she wants to go solo? Why they other members don't renew?"

    "Whyyyy?"

"OT2 is honestly all they need to keep really."

  • Former BTOB Member Jung Ilhoon Shares Thoughts on Music Comeback After 5 Years

Former BTOB member Jung Ilhoon has shared his thoughts on returning to the music scene after a five-year hiatus.

On November 24, Jung Ilhoon announced his comeback through Instagram, revealing his new single, Lullaby.

He expressed his gratitude, writing, “It’s been a while, but I’m happy to greet you with the single Lullaby. Thank you to the fans who supported me during this long wait, and I’m also grateful to everyone who helped me along the way.”

He also reflected on the emotional significance of his return, saying, “This feels like a moment we both dreamed of—fans and I alike—which makes it especially meaningful. I hope you’ll continue to support me as I move forward.”

Jung Ilhoon first debuted with BTOB in 2012 and gained recognition for his talent as a rapper and songwriter. However, in 2020, he left the group after admitting to charges of habitual marijuana use.

Initially sentenced to two years in prison, his sentence was later reduced to a suspended sentence of three years during an appeal, allowing for his release.

Following the incident, he publicly apologized, saying, “I deeply regret the harm I caused to society and the disappointment I brought to those who trusted me. I promise to live righteously and not bring pain to anyone again.”

Fans are now eagerly awaiting Ilhoon’s new single, Lullaby, marking his first step back into the music world.
