BTS's Jungkook Shatters Spotify Records! 'Seven' Ranked Among Top 11 Most Streamed Songs of the 2020s — Find Out Who It Beat
BTS’s Jungkook is dominating the global music scene once again, and this time, he’s earned a spot in Spotify’s history books! His solo track "Seven," released in July 2023, has officially secured a place as the 11th most-streamed song of the 2020s on Spotify.
With “Seven” achieving this incredible milestone, Jungkook has surpassed some of the biggest artists in the world, including Lil Nas X's chart-topping "INDUSTRY BABY," Doja Cat’s viral hit "Kiss Me More," Adele’s "Easy On Me," and even Billie Eilish’s “BIRDS OF A FEATHER.” He’s proven that his global appeal goes far beyond the K-pop scene!
"Seven" isn’t just a chart topper—it's a record-breaker! It became the fastest song ever to hit 100 million, 900 million, 1 billion, and even 1.1 billion streams on Spotify. As of January 27, it has surpassed a massive 2.19 billion streams.
And that’s not all—“Seven” made history by being the first song by an Asian artist to stay at No. 1 on Spotify's Daily Top Song Global chart for 71 days, while also holding the longest No. 1 streak by a male solo artist in 2023, with 9 weeks at the top of the Weekly Top Song Global chart.
In an even bigger feat, from January 17 to 23, 2025, "Seven" earned the longest-ever streak by an Asian solo artist on the Weekly Top Song Global chart, with 80 total weeks, and became the first K-pop solo song to chart for over 500 days on the Daily Top Song Global chart. Talk about unstoppable!
Jungkook also made history on Spotify’s "Top Tracks of 2024 Global" year-end chart, marking a major milestone as the first-ever Asian solo artist to have two songs ranked in Spotify's global year-end list.
And it doesn’t stop there—Jungkook's "Seven" set four world records, including the fastest to reach 1 billion streams (before filtering), the most weekly streams (89.74 million) for a male artist’s track, the fastest to 100 million streams (after filtering), and the most No. 1 hits (3) on the MENA chart, according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
These achievements earned Jungkook official recognition from the Guinness World Records!
On top of all that, Jungkook’s personal Spotify account has amassed a staggering 8.1 billion streams across all credits. This K-pop powerhouse shows no signs of slowing down.
