• "Why is he talking about that at a fan meeting?”— Netizens Revisit Seungri's Cancer Diagnosis Kit Business Plan from 7 Years Ago

People on the internet have recently become interested in a community post called "Another business venture Seungri was planning: Cancer diagnosis kit." It has already been seen by over 90,000 people and has been commented on over 566 times on Theqoo.

There was a film of the "Big Bang Special Event" fan meeting at Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome in January 2017 in the post. In the video, the members had to guess what kind of business Seungri was planning, but they couldn't get it right. Seungri then told them it was a "Cancer Diagnosis Kit."

Seungri then talked about his ideas for the cancer detection kit. He said that the current way of finding cancer is through expensive and time-consuming X-rays and blood tests. He said that he wanted to make a kit that could analyze pee to find cancer, which would make the process easier for more people.

During the fan meeting, Seungri kept talking about his business plan. Daesung, another member of BIGBANG, suggested that he post it on social media first, and G-Dragon warned that it was too risky to talk about and that the details should be thoroughly tested before being made public.

Even though he was warned, Seungri stood by his idea, saying that the product would be released, that clinical trials were already done, and that the prototype would be for sale in March.

In order to find information, he told the fans to go to web sites and try to use the kit themselves.

People on the Internet who saw the film had different reactions. Some thought it was strange that such a conversation happened at a fan meeting. Some people compared Seungri's comments to the controversial claims Elizabeth Holmes made about Theranos.

Holmes was called "Silicon Valley's biggest fraud" and was found guilty in November 2022 of falsely saying she could detect multiple diseases with just a few drops of blood.

During the "Burning Sun" episode in 2019, Seungri got into a lot of trouble. Because of the trouble, he quit the group and stopped working in show business.

A video of Seungri saying he would bring G-Dragon to Cambodia for an event has been going around the internet lately, getting more attention.
